Hey. I bought my cruze eco(1.4L T) in October of 2012, and all has been fine until recently. I went drifting a little(I know I know please don't berate me lol) and came close to redlining it. I hit about 5500-6000 rpms in 1st gear. After that it drove fine but a two days later I went to get on the highway. While accelerating I didnt feel the shaking much but after I got up to 65 mph my steering wheel, and infact my whole car started shaking like crazy. I slowed down and pulled over then came back home slowly, never exceeding 50+ mph.
I checked again today. I started my car and warmed it up. Then revved the engine. It sounded a little wierd but nothing out of the ordinary. I popped the hood and put my hand on the engine block and it was shaking, kinda vibrating. I made sure it wasn't my turbo and Im almost positive it isnt the turbo.
So, anyone know what could have caused the shaking? And would it be safe to drive to the dealer for inspection?
Thanks
