I know the Cruze Automatic is a 6T40, and this is a 6T45, the higher torque big brother unit of the Cruze.

This shows how to replace the trans pump, filter, and seal the bell housing. I thought it was interesting. It appears that the filter is indeed a felt style filter, vs. a screen, but as mentioned in other locations, this is not serviceable with the trans in the car.
