    GoPro or DSLR, decisions decisions.

So I need some nudging on the direction to take. I've saved up for a GoPro but I really miss my DSLR.

I see the pics from the gp's are awesome and at less than half the price. But like I said I really miss my DSLR and the video quality on them is amazing now and video is what I'd like to start doing more often.
Do I continue saving for the camera or just enjoy the gp now?

Hopefully someone here has both and can comment but all opinions are welcomed.

I love my Canon T3, but I would love a GoPro even more because of the vast amount of uses. It's tough carrying a DSLR around and a GoPro fits just about anywhere, so that's my vote.

Good point Boats. The best camera is the one you have with you at all times.

    Point for gp.

Have you considered going m4/3? Interesting platform I don't do much outdoors-y stuff, but a go pro motorsports edition would be quite 'cool' to have.
Me personally, I sold my DSLR kit and went m4/3, mainly for portability. It's more than capable.

i have a canon 7d and a gopro...dont be fooled by the go pro. Idk what they do to the cameras they show but their quality is much better than mine ever has been. I have cleaned my lens and took video of a sunny beach and it doesnt compare to the youtube/commercial quality. But the pictures on the GP arent too excellent compared to a SLR i mean thats a given. but if u race your car and do outdoorsy stuff i say go for the gopro just make sure you pick the right package because attachments are a pain in the A$$ thats where they rip you off because you end up buying 10 attachments. Heres a video of my summer vacation last year all on my gopro.

EDIT: also check out my youtube channel: NYR170 i have other footage with my gopro like skateboarding and kayaking and even when i had my truck i mounted it to my brush guard and drove around my town lol if you want to see real footage look at my channel.
