I am looking for the first factory special run of cars to qualify to race. There was only 120 made.

1969 and the main opposition was the 302CI Falcon GT. And the next year the Falcon had the 351 and the GTS the 350.

The car I am looking for was a 6 cylinder. It is easy to find on the internet once you know what it was called.

It won many races in both 6 and 8 cylinder form. The car I want was built in 1963 and Holden had no eights until 1968. The 3.3 liter Torana 6 beat the mighty Falcon 351 GTHO to win Bathurst in 1972 and broke the lap record on the last lap in V8 form after 1000km in 1979.
