what part of Hawaii did you go to. I was stationed on island of Oahu in Kaneohe Bay. I believe there are 3- 4 Military air fields there on that island. I was there from 06' - 10'.

Yep I know Hickam pretty well.
Marine Corps uses their abandoned airfield for training. They built a pretty decent MOUNT town there while I was there. We use to train there every other week for 4-5 days.

    This is at Hickam.
We were the aggressors(badguys) shooting sim rounds(9mm paint ball rounds).
The top receiver barrel gets replaced (note blue tape on barrel) with one that excepts 9mm paint ball rounds.

I'm in the far back 3 from right.

Antenna installation/repair on comm towers. Lots of fun!

my great grandpa busch and uncle c.w were in the marine corps. My gpa died this year on 06/22/12. I miss him alot. My uncle is still in as a LCPL. He wants to be staff sergent. Some of my friends are in the national guard, one is in the air force, 2 were in the guard, the other in the army. I was in the air force...couldnt succeed bec of a medical condition that wouldnt allow me to serve my country. Im 22 years old now and feel id rather die a fallen soldier fighting for my country and their freedom than to die in my own home of some disease or something. That may sound ignorant but i want to be recognized for something in my life.

I retired over 3 years ago after 20+ years in the AF. My best friend's dad was a Huey pilot in Vietnam, and to this day ... will NOT talk about any of his time over there. My respect to all Past, Present, and Future Military and Coast Guard!
