    Ive just started to hear about this hydro sheild. is it also available for the LS 1.8L engine? im almost ready to buy the cold air intake for my car. Im not sure if i will buy the sheild until i see what the area that the filter sits at looks like

    Get a hydro sheild if you install your intake as Cold Air is highly recommemded to prevent you from sucking water into your engine.

    Just out of curiosity, whats the life of the filter like? also how much is a new one since its a non cleaning one i assume. does the hydra sheild effect how clean it stays? or just keep it dry(obviously) sorry for noob questions but ive only had k&N and it was in no danger of water. and i could clean it myself
