I purchased my Cruze in October and drive the highway 5 days a week. Because of that I opted to put the protective shield on the front hood to prevent rock chips being a common occurrence on BC winter roads. Fast forward to two weeks ago, spring is here and I decide to turn on the AC. Nothing so I book an appointment with my dealer. Got in yesterday and after paying $168 to get my Cruze back I find a rock chip took out the condenser and it's not warranty covered. Will cost over $ 1000 to repair and parts are not readily available. Mechanic shows me that the rods came in through the venting cutouts in the bumper, that's its an engineering design flaw GM is aware of and that they have ordered me an optional screen that has been design to prevent this from happening. If its a known design issue why is it not covered and why have recall letters not gone out to Cruse owners?

Hi, my Cruze has 800 miles on it. I brought it back to the dealer with complaint of knocking noise on passenger side when coming to a stop. It was determined to be a defective strut. However, dealer tells me that they are (still) waiting for the replacement strut. Any idea when this might be available to them?
