"Other Barry" Dyno Results (Trifecta tune)

Did some dyno pulls this morning and here are the results

    other_barry_dyno_sm.jpg

The left sheet is HP and the right sheet is TQ.

    Tune: HP/TQ

    Stock: 136/156 (Blue line)
    Perf: 146/190 (Green line)
    Eco: 132/178 (Red line)

I was surprised at the stock numbers. I was disappointed at the tune numbers, but if you look at powerband, there is a big gap between the stock and the perf tune like 25hp from 3k - 4k! so the peak numbers are fine in that case.

Now, the eco tune. Basically mimics the perf tune instead of the stock tune, just like I complained about.

Mods: Trifecta tune, K&N panel filter.

Next up is a down pipe.

Why sorry? I'm pleased with the way the power curve is. I'll work on the peak numbers.

Maybe you can tune my car too

I like the bump in torque right at 3000 RPM on the eco tune. 30 extra ft/lbs at that RPM is exactly what the doctor ordered for some extra passing oomph without spinning the turbo to extremes.

Your results explain why I'm in the eco mode for 97% of my driving. It's "good enough" for most situations, with sport mode saved for that little extra when needed.

I'm gonna side with you Hoon. No offense Titan. The horsepower curves look decent, but that torque drop is just sad.... that is, if you're racing it.

Like sciphi said, the torque around 3-4k is perfect for daily driving.

Ok, what SHOULD I be seeing then, trifecta vs trifecta and trifecta vs VT. Not theoretical curves please. I'm only concerned if the product is performing as advertised and on par with other cars who also have the tune.

Can you remind me why you were complaining? This seems dead on with what is advertised for the tune.

My original complaint was that the car felt no different after the tune install. But with some fiddling, I got it working and I proved it was working with the boost gauge. There was no fault on Trifectas end there.

The most recent problem was the eco tune was not performing and advertised (by the vendors). It was acting/feeling just like performance mode.

Without going on a rant, this proves what I was saying.

Yeah, something there is not right. The eco tune most certainly feels weaker than the stock tune but on that chart, it would have to be stronger from looking at the numbers.

I would like to mention, i've flashed back and forth quite a few times and i notice that it takes about a tank of gas of running it hard before the tune really starts to put out peak numbers.

Also (possibly related) I notice that if you don't disconnect the battery in between tunes it runs kind of crappy for ~ month. I think the computer tries to average out the learned adjustments.
