    Turbo hissing sound

I have recently did the resonator by-pass (XR's how to) and after the mod I noticed that my turbo (at least I'm assuming it's the turbo) has this high pitched constant (not sure how long it lasts and if it stops) sucking/hissing sound when the car is running with the hood up. It's not noticable while driving, but should it be like that? I haven't reset the battery yet (I will once the rain stops), but can anyone shed some light on this? Is it supposed to be like that and I'm worrying for nothing or is something wrong?

    Thanks

The resonator is used to muffle sounds like that, to make things quiet for the typical car-shopper.

You removing it = cool-sounding Cruze.

Alrighty, I was just worried. Not a car guy, so anything odd freaks me out (like the stupid rear breaks sounding like my car is running on a flat tire)...

Ok I listened to it again with my hood up and I just can't not stress myself b\c I don't know any better (that's what I get for diving into car modding being a noob)...
I had to make a video and let you guys listen and tell me if this is what a Cruze turbo should sound like AFTER the resonator bypass and/or if it's a healthy sound. I apologize for a night shot but it's the earliest I could get to my car. To me it literally sounds like there is air leaking somewhere...I checked as much piping as I could see that could be affected by the mod (especially what I disconnected) and without being burned of course - nothing seems to be letting air out. Regardless, please take a look/listen:

Another thing that I've noticed is the wetness on the plastic cover of the engine. **NOTE: It was dry the whole evening. Here is the video which you can clearly see the oily looking substance (which I slightly touched with the tip of my finger - the car was still hot).

And lastly, since I'm spamming questions already, is it normal for my engine temperature to be almost half way on the dash meter when it's like 3C degrees outside?

    Thanks a lot
