So I was screwing around with information center, and came across coolant temp digital reading. It was night, maybe 70 outside, and I was cruising on highway about 60mph. The reading was 219 degrees. I turned a/c on and off with no change in temp. Upon initial decel, temp would start to drop and eventually reach 214, but go back up to 217-219. At idle, it held about 219-220 for about 5 minutes, and I took off. Is this a normal temp everyone else is seeing? To note, I have a manual and prefer to see if people with manuals run at same temp.
To me, I am use to seeing engine temps hovering below 200 while driving and fans kicking in at 220-222 degrees. I am trying to figure out if...............
#1: intercooler sucks that much that its affecting coolant temps
#2: they intentionally made engine run hotter
#3: digital coolant temp reading is incorrect
I am not freaking out by this, but just find it odd to running this warm while cruising down the road. So just want to get other input
