Granted I'm not running dual exhaust, but it got no resonator, and it does not sound ricey at all.

I think we all have a varying opinion on what rice sounds like I suppose...

I have owned my share of 4 cylinder turbo's.... would never go without a resonator...

Thing to remember here is that we don't have a honda motor. The valves in our 1.4 are heavier, the cam timing different- so many things to not compare our motor to a honda. Ours will sound more like a boxer engine than a honda block.

Just finished the next section if my exhaust niw im just waiting for zzp downpipe and that peice will be the mist expensive part about it pics will be up tomorrow while in at the shop phone died or I would have done it today

DSM's out my arse...
Honda's out my arse...
SRT-4's
PT Turbo's


Worked on OBDII on the SRT-4 neon, SRT-4 Caliber, PT Turbo...

I know my way around boosted 4 cylinders, would never remove the resonator... my opinion is all.

I understand your point about heavier valves... however without a resonator your going to get the raspy noise regardless under light loads... sole reason for the resonator...

As stated.. we all have varying opinions of rice...

Well I will drop my resonator and have a listen... maybe the rotary muffler on this car is different than all the rest However I always remove CATS...

Well I like the way mine sounds with no resonator and a Magnaflow muffler. Sounds deep and nice (not rice) though-out the entire RPM range.
