I am looking at getting a new radar detector and have thought about picking up a Redline by Escort with the rearview undermount accessory. My question is, has anyone used a wiring harness similar to the one provided to tap into the rearview mirror power? Or would I just be better off routing it all the way down to the fuse panel with the long hardwire kit? I have a Cruze LS w/ Onstar on the rearview mirror, not sure if the I would be able to tap into that to power the radar detector, I'm trying to create a very low profile look with this, Ive seen some other installs with wiring running down the A-Pillar but if I dont have to do that and I can go ahead an tap into the rearview I'd much rather do that. I'm not 100% opposed to the fuse panel install just trying to way the options here.

Any help/tips will be greatly appreciated!
