    iPhone Playlists Problem

    Hi all,

    I have a brand new 2012 Chevy Cruze, just purchased a few days ago. I have had no problems with my iPhone connectivity whatsoever. However, I am unable to select from all of my playlists. I have 14 total playlists and they are listed alphabetically on the screen. It allows me to play the first 10 playlists. However, when I hit select for the 11, 12, or 13 playlist nothing happens. As for the 14th playlist, it pops up but it provides me with songs from a different playlist!

    To trouble shoot I changed the name of the 11th playlist to something else and it allowed me to play. Any ideas on why this is happening? I don't really want to change the names of those bottom playlists, as I feel they should all work as is.

    Do you use iTunes Match? If so and your songs are in the cloud, the Cruze will only play songs actually downloaded to your phone. Quick-fix: scroll to the bottom of your playlist, and click the cloud button. It will download the playlist to your device.

    Thank you for offering your help. The problem has not been resolved even though I have done some trouble shooting myself. I changed a large portion of my playlists' names so that they lost higher alphabetically. However, for the playlist "Purchased" which includes all of my purchased music it will not let me select that playlist because of the fact that it begins with a P.

    I am not sure where the cut off is for which ones it will allow me to play/not play. Right now. It allows me to play all playlists from A - D. But, like I said the playlist titled "Purchased" is not being selected when I hit select. Such a very strange issue and wish someone knew what was wrong. Love the car otherwise.

    Check your hardware/firmware of your PDIM. Plug in your iPhone. Start playing music from your iPhone then PRESS AND HOLD the Menu button for several seconds. Latest version (that I'm aware of) is DB/DD. If it is DB/DB, take it into the dealer and show them this TSB:

    Tell them that DB/DD will fix your issue.

    Out of curiosity, how many songs do you have on your iPhone? I seem to remember there is a 10,000 song limit. There may also be a "playlist" limit.

    I only have 1,700 songs. I don't think there is a playlist limit because all of my playlists are able to work, it's just a matter of where they fall alphabetically. I could make the playlist "purhchased" work but only by changing it to something higher on the alphabet such as "bought." I will probably have to end up doing this, it just makes no sense.
