    New guy, 12' Eco

New to the Cruze world, but not new to auto's.

I picked this thing up used for just under 16. It's a 2012 Cruze Eco with the less than par 6spd gearbox. I dont plan on doing too much to it as it is my daily. So far ive done HID's, stereo, de-badged, and LED's in the interior(map lights and dome light). Hopefully tint in the next week or two.

Gonna be re-doing the system with 3-4 DC Audio lvl2 10's in a fiberglass enclosure instead of the single lvl3 10"

Ill post some better pictures once the weather is nice enough for me to detail her and do a quick shoot.

Also, here's a pic of my weekend warrior:

I must say, the cruze is hard to get out of and back into the Burb, 'Dat Gas Mileage'

Also got a pretty quick turbo civic, but, I'm parting that thing out. Too many projects.

A little about me. I live in the great city of Austin, Tx. 22, photographer/cinematographer. I go around to as many car shows as I can and shoot video. Gonna be releasing a DVD early next year. I also own a custom car audio business. I'm a PC Gamer, play a little Halo 4 on 360 though. That about sums it up.

Welcome! I know what you mean- I don't have my Excursion stored at home, but I've had similar thoughts. I had a friend who invited me out to his cottage for a halloween party a couple weeks back and said I should bring the Excursion. I thought about it and said to myself, why should I make the ~150 mile trip in the Excursion at 14ish mpg vs. the Cruze at 38 when I'm not towing/hauling anything.

haha and here I bought the Cruze so I could keep the Excursion nice and not daily it.

You say now that you don't plan to do too much to it, but just wait!

I do plan on getting some coilovers, maybe some 18 or 19" Varstoen's version 3 or 4's and 'stance' it out a bit. We'll see.

How are you going to power those subs in the Cruze? The adaptive alternator is a bit...interesting.

The rear deck likes to rattle as you may have noticed. Some closed cell foam or mass loaded vinyl should take care of that.

Any plans for a front sound stage?

Right now under load voltage drop is very minimal, drops to maybe 13.5v full tilt for 30 seconds bass race style. Not gonna mess with the front stage yet. But the plan is all DB Drive mids and highs, soundstream double din, RE XT800.4 for those, and possibly a Kinetic 600 or two. The rear deck doesn't rattle too bad, it's the rear view that sounds like it's gonna fall apart.
