Thumbs up Got a call from Chevy Customer Service

So I thought this might be an interesting thing to post. I got a call from Chevy Customer Service asking me about my Cruze and the service history. The lady said she saw I had service recently and wanted to know how it went. She asked if I had service prior and what it was for. Then she asked if I had any issue currently for which I mention the notch in the steering wheel at highway speeds and the coolant smell. Everything prior has been really minor things and all covered under warranty but she said she is going to send me a $100 maintenance voucher for anything I want done not under warranty since I have gone in before. She told me if I ever have any issue that can't be resolved to call the customer service number and they would be more than happy to help out. She said they want me to be completely happy with my Cruze. Which I am currently besides the minor quarks here and there which every vehicle will have.

The interesting thing is I have never called the customer service number or complained about anything so it seemed like a legitimate check up call. I originally thought it was a call from the dealer but once we were in the call she said the maintenance voucher was good at any dealership.

Thought it was pretty neat and seemed (<yes I know that is a key word) that they really care.

Anyone else have a call like that?

Tell me about the "Notch in the Steering wheel at highway speeds. I noticed that on the way home a week ago. almost like the steering wheel stuck for just a second.

33,500 miles (60% hwy) and I've never had that experience (and I hope I never do)!
I will say that it wouldn't seem very comforting when/if it happens.

It's just mildly annoying at first; then it gets worse to where you really have to jerk it to get the car to respond.

It's not scary, just annoying. So far, I don't think I've seen anyone with a 2011 model say they have this issue, so I suspect it started with something that was changed in 2012 (and maybe not all 2012s).

Seems pretty ironic in that the 2011's did have the steering recalls.
