I have the LS not the eco, but I think that the car handles very well in the snow. It always felt solid and stable. I felt like I could safely drive 10-15 mph faster than I would have driven in my old car in the same conditions. I had traction control kick in once because I had to swerve around a car. A pipe had burst and flooded the right lane which was hard to see how deep the water was at night. The car in front of me hit the water which killed the engine. As I swerved, his car dumped water on my windshield that instantly froze. Traction control kept me from spinning out on the ice in the other lane especially since I couldn't see anything!
I also don't have the Eco (LTZ RS) but it handled it very well. Starting is a bit tricky as with any FWD car, but other than that it never had one hiccup if you drive like you should in the winter.
