The steering wheel chrome can be dipped/painted/wrapped pretty easily, you need to remove the airbag and then the trim comes off the wheel.

The center vents along side the radio the chrome is part of vent. Remove the center radio trim trim panel in order to remove vents to work on them.

The outer air vent trim is part of the dashboard panel they are in. Not the vent itself. They are trickiest to get apart and back together without breaking stuff and making it look right when done.

The shifter trim is part of the boot. You need to remove the shift knob and then the boot/display assembly. The chrome isn't serviceable, but it should be relatively easy to get off.

Somewhere there's a qualification testing report that includes a section on that topic. But it got ignored

Did you go darker on rear windows, lighter on fronts? What type did you use? Oregon is 35% light must enter, have to figure that one out.
The strip on top of windshield is an absolute must at this point.

I'll have to look for that info and get back to you. In the meantime:

Factory VLT % (tint) - where can I verify the percentages

    EDIT:

The first page shows pictures of my Cruze tinted, including the windshield strip color (tint) difference.
