I would also change the serpentine belt if you are going that far.
I am not 100%, but I think this post will also help.
And maybe special coverage 14371: 150K/10 year warranty on the Cruze Water Pump? -
14371 doesn't apply to the 1.8L
Changing the timing belt is a huge jump from changing the water pump on the 1.8L its not really a "might as a well" type service. The timing belt doesn't drive the water pump.
