The problem did not come back with the on star fuse taken out, however, it means my GPS no longer works (which I use a lot). I thought before buying a new on star module for $360 I would see if it happens again. I put the fuse back in and let the car sit for over five days, it started up perfectly fine.
Also, it is important to note that the passive door lock button on the rear driver's side door handle magically started working again. I also checked the battery voltage over the five days that it sat and there was no significant drain. I have noticed that my trunk switch is acting up again (it was replaced under warranty in 2015). Sometimes it will work, other times it will not. Not sure if that is tied into this or not.
I am still convinced this had something to do with that door handle button, just like jimmyc said it might be connected to another system that caused a drain.
