    Are there any mechanical issues that would cause increased KR and less power after a tune update? Who can I ask about the tune other than the tuner? This is the first car I've tuned and I'm pretty lost trying to figure out things on my own. Any advice would be much appreciated...

    BNR sent me a retune after three weeks. Apparently there was a bugged table with the previous tune, however the new tune is the worst one I've ever had. Power curve is all over the place, KR is up to like 14 and boost is all over the place. They wanted me to log it, which I sent in a week ago...

    No worries, I'll keep you posted. I've sent a new message nine days ago trying to get answers about the tune but no reply yet. In another thread, someone suggested my timing is too advanced, but I would think that would be obvious to a tuner 🤷‍♂️

    I already use the highest octane fuel available. In Australia that's 98 premium, they call it 98 octane (RON) which I think is equivalent to 94 octane (AKI) in the U.S. And yes the bottle of additive.

    Thanks, I've tried octane boost but didn't make much difference. Hopefully it's something as simple as retarding the timing...

    Dunno why, but I never got the check engine light when I put in the ZZP downpipe and ported intake. I was expecting it to light up for a few weeks but it never did. It ran great and gained power without a re-tune! Also dunno why, but lost that power and ran worse with the BNR re-tune 🤦‍♂️

    The auto has lower gear ratios but I didn't realize the torque curve was different!

    The problem is that I get BNR re-tunes for bolt ons and my torque has dropped. I gained about 15ft-lb torque and about 15HP top end after I ported the intake and installed the ZZP downpipe with the original custom tune. When I got a re-tune for these mods (four months ago) the torque dropped...

    I've been calculating horsepower for ages with re-tunes and logs. It's (rpm x torque) / 5252. But I just use online calculators. I get the RPM and calculated torque from the efilive logs...

    Yeah it seems that way. Maybe I'll get a positive response from the last message I sent them, not very hopeful though. Maybe I should find a new tuner or get hptuners and learn tuning myself or something. Already spent the money for BNR though, super frustrating...

    I checked the check valve in the manifold when I had it out and was ok, no hissing from the top cover. It does hold 22PSI pretty well, I have a boost gauge...

    Yep, I've sent in many logs with questions about why the tunes get worse with no answers. They have sent a few new tunes that have made no difference. I don't think they even read my messages. They seem to only send re-tunes that address overboost which wasn't a problem with the original tune...

    Yeah I'm at about 22PSI, give or take depending on conditions I guess, about 20 lowest. I was making more torque with my original custom tune with ported manifold and ZZP downpipe. Several retunes with BNR WGA and 42# injectors and less torque and more KR. Maybe slightly more HP high RPM if...

    Really? 😀 I've ported the intake, added ZZP downpipe, BNR WGA, new BKR7E plugs, 42lb injectors and all retuned by BNR and barely any difference! Still the same valve cover/PCV and haven't done a boost leak check! So does this seem like a probable solution? Doesn't seem to lose too much boost...

    Just wondering why the 1.4T has no top end torque/power? Is it the design of the head or cams? Generally engines make more HP top end so wondering what the dfifference is in design?     ZZP website says stock injectors are 33# and I have read that they are 26 or 24LB. Also I think the fuel pressure is 43.5psi. And no advice about needing upgrade...
