5w30

  1. General Discussion
Hi, My car (Chevy Cruze 2010 1.6) is burning oil (No oil leaks), so the oil level decreases around 1 Litre every 1000KM (600 Miles). The mechanical said it may be costy to fix it, so he advice me to change the oil from 5w30 to 10w30, is that can really help?

I read something in here a while back about switching to 5w-30 from the recommended 0w-20. Should I do that? Or is that a dumb decision? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Anybody thought about running it in their deleted cruze diesel? I know Amsoil reins supreme, just wondering if anybody has done any research on it... It would be nice to use 1 oil in all 3 of my vehicles that require 5w30. Right now I'm still running the Pensoil platinum Euro L dexos2 stuff...

My next project is to change the gearbox fluid. After much reading on the forum, I have decided I want to use Amsoil Synchromesh 5W-30. On the Amsoil site, it is $14.26 a quart (need 3 quarts). Naturally, the local Pepboys and O'Reilly auto parts don't carry it. A nearby Harley dealer sells...

I'm always on the look for new oils available locally at great prices. I store in the Twin Cities Metro area had 5 quart jugs of Pennzoil Euro L 5W-30 on the shelf. This store went through an entire store refresh last summer. Maybe this is a new product being stocked nationally. I don't know...

First and foremost, is a dexos approved engine oil, but many manuals in the past also used conventional motor oils, this is full synthetic. Its the only oil I can find that claims to be equivalent to GM part number 19259104, but in years past, with a number of different transmission oils, Royal...

Hey guys. I picked up a quart of the ACDelco 5W-30 oil at my local dealership. It was $5.68. I can buy Mobil 1 5W-30 or Mobil 1 EP 5W-30 for cheaper at Walmart. I have read that the Cruze comes with the ACDelco oil from the factory, and most dealers use it for the oil changes on 2011+ GM cars...
