  1. Gen2 Powertrain
I recently bought a 2018 Lt and hated the shift characteristics from 1-2 and sometimes from 2-3. It is especially bad when doing any sort of spirited acceleration from a stop. So I decided to see if you could easily remove the CDV like the first gens. Some preliminary research led me to believe...
  2. Gen2 Powertrain
I just got my 2016 Cruze and I feel like the clutch is too soft. I have read about people doing a cdv delete on the 1.8L Cruze, but I have a 1.4L and I don't know where the CDV is located. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
  3. Gen1 Powertrain
What a difference in the feel of the clutch especially in shifting from 1 - > 2 and 2 - > 3. I dunno if there are caveats (none that I have seen anyway), but I absolutely love the way the gearbox feels going from gear to gear.
  4. Gen1 Diesel General Discussion
Someone else was referencing this lag in the Gen1 gas thread. I have a 2015 CDI and the throttle lag is killin me. It almost seems like there may be a throttle position sensor issue but there are no codes. If I press on the pedal lightly the delay is 1-4 seconds. If I mash the pedal from the...
  5. Gen1 Service Issues
Hello fellow Cruzers, First of all, thank you for allowing to be part of this great community. I have read many posts and I just decided to sign up. I need your help. I have a 2013 Cruze LS automatic 1.8 L. I bought off a friend. On slow speeds it bogs down. When I go at like 40mph and come...
  6. Gen1 Powertrain
Have a Cuze LTZ 2011 1.4 auto six spd. Have noticed a few times when selecting Drive from a stopped position that it pauses before engaging drive. In fact I thought a couple times it engaged only to hear it rev up and then engage drive. Anyone know when this fluid should be changed? Must be some...

How-To: Remove Clutch Delay Valve (CDV) Overview: Hello everyone and welcome to my first "How-To" ever. If you are clicking this you are probably looking for a solution to the common and quite annoying first to second grind in the M32 Manual transmission. Some people are reporting a grind...
  8. Gen1 Powertrain
I've done some searching on the forum and I've studied the parts diagram for the Cruze, but I can't figure out if the car has a clutch delay valve. Driving it, it feels to me like it probably does have one. On a lot of cars the delay valve is part of a larger assembly and can be removed, but I...

In the mornings I put on one glove, unlock my car remotely, pull my front door key out, open the front door, put the door key in the lock and turn it just slightly to keep it in while I close the door, put on my other glove, exit the house via the open door, close the door, lock the door and...

I have owned my 2012 Cruze Eco (manual) for a little over a year now. I absolutely love the car save one problem... a HUGE Throttle response delay. The easiest way to describe this is if I'm in neutral (manual transmission) and I press on the gas, the car doesn't start to rev until what seems...

hello. i saw this in ebay and im thinking in buying it. the first item is a throtle lag eliminatot...as many of you know the cruze have some lag in the acelaration. for what they say, this eliminates it. anyone got feedback on this? 12. Gen1 Powertrain
I'm having an issue with the shifting in my 2011 Chevy Cruze LT. When I press the gas in, the car seems to get "stuck" in the lower gear and has a delay in shifting to a higher gear. It happens a lot. Does this happen to anyone else? This morning, I was in the middle of an intersection when it...
  13. Gen1 Powertrain
I've been thinking of buying a Cruze, so I took one for a test drive the other day. I loved everything about it except, it had a terrible delay between the time you press the gas pedal and the time it actually responds. For example, I cruised along at 25-30 mph, then pressed the gas and it...
