Ok so my Cruze falls on its face at high engine load like in 3rd-6th gear and I hooked up to a scan tool to check if there was codes and no codes so I looked at live data and my map sensor is reading 14 hg at idle and 50 hg at full throttle pulls I think those readings are wrong for a stock car...
I left my car at service the other day for 75000km service. They were also going to install map update. I took pictures of software versions before I gave my car. When I compare those numbers today, I don't see any difference. I'm not sure if software versions would change with map...
The map lights won't work (as of months ago, maybe a year), but I can't seem to figure out which fuse is for the map lights, if any specifically.
The front/rear dome lights work fine - and switching bulbs with the dome has no effect. Almost like both buttons simply stopped working.
I have a UK-spec 2010 Cruze LT VDCi. Does anyone know where I can download software and map updates to my Satnav, and how to install them? The maps are pretty out of date on mine and the TomTom in my Renault has an SD card I can pull out and update via my PC; but I can't find anything...
Fuel mileage loss, fix = clean the Map Sensor again.
I might just buy a couple of them and replace it every 12 months while cleaning every six months.
I have never had to do such a thing to any other vehicle I have owned. I have never owned a boosted car before.
This is copied from my other thread I figured I would paste it here for easy reference since it was on page 2 of that thread.
Here is the how to on the light covers
Pocket sized screwdriver or interior molding tool.
First push the tool into the crease on rear most side of the...
There is a huge difference in brightness I don't know if it just the cool white over the warm white but I love it. it lights up so much more now, the only downside is now when I'm giving Uber rides at night the passenger can see how dirty my car is:grin:
I did mine and my wife's car.
I bought a 2012 Chevy crude 3 months ago recently my check engine light came on. I had the code read and it's the MAP sensor and the 3000, 90 day warranty has already expired. I am not knowledgeable about emissions in vehicles and just need to know what I should do.
I just discovered that GM has released an update for the map databases in 2014 and 2015 Cruze.
GM | General Motors | GM - Connected Nav Radio System Map Update V.2016 | HERE
I have no idea what the changes are but I placed my order and should have it mid-week.
It is on a USB key and is...
I have a 2012 Chevy Cruze ECO 1.4 engine an 4 days ago the service engine light came on. I had a computer hooked up to it and it read a code that the map sensor was bad. So I had it replaced today(did it myself as it was really simple)and I test drove it and amount 5 miles into the drive the...
I always wanted my map lights to come on along with the dome lights when you opened the doors. I never understood why they didnt come factory like that. Has anyone made a write up on how to make this happen?
Does the ECU constantly re-calibrate fuel mappings to ensure its not too rich/lean at different engine speeds?
If so how does this co-relate to the pre-defined maps for various octane levels? So for example does it first attempt to detect the closest octane level and apply that map and then...
Found a black and a blue sensor that each appear to be the map sensor. Which one is the real MAP?
Edit: The one on the driver's side is the map sensor. Mine has a blue top. The other one is a barometric sensor.
I am considering mounting a couple of switches in the map light area. The forward area of it contains the switches and lights. The back section is empty. I removed the panels, there is more than enough area for some switches there. My question is, how difficult is it to run power lines down...
Here are some of the markets where you can find them as of today. The larger the dot, the more cars in the area:
Quite a few in Pacific NW and around DC/Baltimore. Denver, Altanta, and Milwaukee are also have larger inventories. Notably absent is Detroit.
