I tapped into the overhead map lights. They are hot when the car is on and go cold 10 minutes after you leave the car.
Once you pull the harness controlling then lights, add the ground to the black wire in the left and hot wire to the wire on the right. Tape them together, stuff the extra wire...
I'm going to installing an auto dimming mirror into my Cruze this weekend and need a wire diagram of the overhead console to help me with identifying what to tap into.

I've been looking into getting either Headrest TV's or a Overhead Monitor so my son can be occupied during our traveling.
Has anyone installed either in there Cruze? If so can you post pics and maybe a brief description on how you installed it?
I installed an e-bay homelink rear-view mirror. I tapped into some power in the overhead console connector, and it works but it stays on all the time. Anyone have access to the wiring diagram for the overhead console, or can tell me if anything up there is switched power?
First of all I would like to introduce myself, since I am new at this forum, I am from Brazil and have a Cruze Hatchback LTZ (Our Premier is LTZ and our hatchback version is called Sport6) that comes from Argentina.
I am having a very disturbing noise coming from the interior...
I test drove a new Malibu and it had a tiny LED right above the shift and center console... instead of the bright map light while driving looking for something...the night light would be cool!
Has anyone tried adding one?

I have an overhead console (dome light, etc) I will post a pic if you need one. I added the homelink garage door opener to it. This is gray in color and was removed from my 2014 Cruze diesel. Only selling because the car is getting traded in and I put the original back in.
$25 plus shipping...
I've been disappointed that the Cruze doesn't have Homelink, especially in the LTZ trim. So after some recent discussion and a spontaneous trip today, I decided to make it happen.
I had researched and thought about ordering one on eBay, to the tune of about $20. I wasn't sure if the light...
Has anyone taken one off? I do have a sun roof? I need to take it down and see how much space is in there. It is where the lights and OnStar mic is located.
Any ideas or things to watch?
Just like to ask if anyone could post a couple of Pics of their overhead panel.
I Would like to see if you guys have additional switches for other features like OnStar ect..
We don't have OnStar or sunroof availability Downunder, but I would like to option out the SRi-V with a couple...
I don't have a sunroof so there is a mostly blank panel at the rear of the overhead. Does anyone know what, other than the hands free mic, is behind the panel in the overhead? I am considering options for mounting a HAM radio control head and this looks like a possibility. The radio will be in...
