Hi Guys, Good Day. Got a question. I've got my 2nd hand Cruze for 3 months now, it had only 9500KM on it when I brought it, now it has 13,500KM. What I've noticed is, when ever I'm driving from a complete stop, what I normally do is only disengage the clutch slowly (w/o stepping on the Gas)...
  4. Gen1 Service Issues
My 2014 Cruze has 35,000 on it and it is 0 F. here in Wisconsin. I've noticed that the engine isn't getting up to operational temperature. Have there been issues with this car having the thermostat stick or anything like that? Any thoughts on what the problem could be? thanks, Joe

This weekend it was raining hard and when I parked the car in the garage I shut it off with the wipers still on. They stopped in mid stroke. The next day I got in and started the car shut off the wipers and they did not stop in the full bottom position. Several tries turning them on and off...

  7. Gen1 Diesel General Discussion
I left to teach this morning with the outside temperature right at -20F. My Diesel started in the way I'm used to after 48 hours resting in the open wind at such temperatures - a first start that quickly stalls, followed by a second perfect, successful start. I took a video of the start, but I...
  8. CruzeTalk New Member Introductions
After 2 months on the forum, I figured it might be a good idea to actually introduce myself: I'm located in northwest/north-central Iowa, and I bought my 2014 Rainforest Green Diesel the last week of September. I drove my Jeep as my primary vehicle for several years, but as the cost of fuel...

Hello guys, My wife and I are heading up north this weekend to see the fall colors here in Michigan. My diesel cruze is 1 week old and has 750 mile on it. The drive will be a combination of freeway and 55mph back roads. (roughly 650 miles round trip) How should I be driving this car? Cruise...

My manual suggests to add coolant to the full mark on the tank. I have a series of lines with the highest one having two arrows just under it. I presume this is the full mark. At least that's where I topped it off to. I really had not checked the coolant level much this summer other then a...

  12. Lighting
Hi there I have gone through different brands of bulbs and none have really done what I've wanted, or they go out pretty quick. I have experience with HIDs on other cars both projector and standard type housings (99 Acura TL HIDs from factory). Really I have read all the ins and outs of HIDs...
  13. Gen1 1.4L Turbo
Just installed it yesterday. I have never had an intake on any car before so I don't know much. I know that the pressure builds up in it and when you release the gas pedal the pressure is released through the blow off valve (which sounds awesome!!) My main question is do you have to release...

I'm seeing a lot of posts lately about fog lights. This post is to discuss proper use of the OEM fogs. The OEM fog lights are useful in the following conditions: 1. In inclement weather such as fog/mist/heavy rain/snow. 2. During low-speed maneuvers around tight turns. 3. At speeds not...

Good Morning Folks! The Cruze is my first front wheel drive vehicle. What is the correct tire rotation pattern according to GM? I would assume the drive wheels go back and switch sides, the rear wheels come forward and stay on their respective sides..... Please advise -Phil
