What are differences between a 2011 1.4 and the 2012-2014 engines? 2012-2014 are on the same interchange list. The 2011 is all by itself.
The ECM aren't on the same interchange list.
The engines aren't on the same interchange list.
Is it sensors?
Is it ECM hardware? Both use E78.

I have 2 stand alone 1.4 swaps, one an 11 and one a 12. Have a really good tune on the 12 and would like to swap that ECM with the 11 to see if it works, but concerned about differences and bricking ANOTHER ECM.

13+ go by the LUV engine code. 11-12 are LUJ, should be exactly the same motors. I think most 11s were built in Austria, most 12's in the US once the plant came online. The main differences between LUJ and LUV are starter motors, camshaft phasers, and a different MAP sensor.

These are both stand alone swaps so all the VIN info is in the ECM. Ther's no BCM or TCM.
I "believe" the 11 and the 12 have different baro sensor locations, and different IAT sensor locations. At least they are different on the two engine I have here.
