At 80300 on my 2016 RS Hoping to turn over 100K. Been working from home for last 1.5 years. Even when I did go to work I only drove 4 miles to bus(No place to park downtown and gas) Seem something always happens before I get there. Ergo I am on Cruze #8. But 2016 LT #7 Son is driving is @ 65K.
12 - 15K per year is considered average. Before the pandemic I was doing 35 - 40K per year with my daily 125 mile round trip commute. During and post pandemic I hardly drive because I work from home. My wife did not have that luxury so she was still logging 10 - 12K per year with normal commute. Her trip to work was about 20 - 25 minutes each way and local driving though.
While its still low mileage, 12,000 in 2 years, with the pandemic if you did not have to commute much then that was normal miles for that time period.
What really matters is not the miles but how well the car has been maintained. Many years ago I had a 1992 Camry with 130k miles. Had been maintained fanatically and ran/looked like new. A couple who expressed that they were concerned about the 'high' mileage bought it after I showed them the maintenance records. About 5 yrs later this lady whom I did not recognize came up to me at the airport and told me: "we bought the Camry from you and we are so thankful; it has over 180,000 miles now and has never given us any trouble." She mentioned that they continued with my maintenance schedule. Maintenance is the name of the game...
