I just noticed that the service manual recommends a transmission service for my Cruze at 45,000 miles. My car has 55,000 miles on it so will take it in next week for this service. I am wondering if I have invalidated my 100,000 powertrain warranty by waiting so long.
Sure unless you need to utilize any various warranty coverage(s) and that goes for extended plans as well. What you were "told" at a Chevrolet Service department does not take precedence over basic service requirements as listed in your Owners manual
