just go6t the car 3 days ago and the check engine light already came on. my dad took it to the dealer but it turned off as he got there. they said they cant do anything unless the light is on, so i'm already worried about this.. the brake pedal travel also is too long. I don't know if it needs new fluid or what..15 cruze 1lt pre certified bought from chevy dealership..:icon_scratch::icon_scratch:

If the check engine light was on and turned off, isn't there codes still stored? I'd take it to your FLAPS and get it checked out.

My IMT valve arm took a dump about that mileage. It was covered under the powertrain warranty.

Invest in a wifi OBD-II scanner. Got mine off Amazon for $20 and the app was $10 for iOS (probably free for Droid). At least this way, you won't have to drive it to the dealer to get the code. They still might require the light and code be on in their presence but at least you'll know what to look for.
