So last week my check engine light came on. When I looked up the code, I got P0328 the knock sensor. Has anyone got this code before, is it a big job. I just got the intake manifold replace, so I'm hoping for a cheap fix.

It's almost always the knock sensor itself. Which is bolted to the back of the engine right near the starter. Virtually impossible to do easily from top of engine. You really need to get at it from underneath

The light goes on and off, I'm wondering if it's the knock sensor going bad. Or I just recently put in a k&n air filter. I'm wondering if that might be why. Not sure why it would though.

Potential causes of a P0328 code include:

Knock sensor connector is damaged
Knock sensor circuit is open or shorted to ground
Knock sensor circuit is shorted to voltage
Knock sensor has failed Loose knock sensor
Electrical interference in circuit
Low fuel pressure
