2011 Chevy Cruze 90K Miles - Humming Noise

Hello Friends - I own a 2011 chevy cruze and last week reached 89.5K miles on it. I started to notice a humming noise when accelerating from 40mph to 60mph and very minor vibration on the accelerator pedals. Since I was close to 90K mile maintenance mark anyways, I did oil change, brake pads change, brake rotors change, spark plug change, ignition coil change, coolant tank and hose change, water pump and belt change, and all of this did not fix the humming noise.

Next, I did change the transmission fluid and viola! The humming noise went away between 40-60mph, but I still hear it between 55-65mph mark.

Has anyone faced this? What else can I do?

I do not see any check engine light on

I would check that the wheels are balanced, and the CV joints first.

Thanks. Got the wheels balanced, still hear the noise. Will get CV joints checked next!
How about a good throttle body service?
Thanks. If throttle was the problem, do you think it explains the humming noise between 40-60 mph before transmission fluid change, and then between 55-65mph after transmission fluid change?

Well, I wasn't going to say anything. However, since you have now mentioned it twice.
If your observation is correct the new fluid hasn't fixed anything, just masked the issue for now.

But, I'm thinking that is just coincidence. Road surface differences, ambient temperature, and a dozen more variables can effect vibrations. Your issue is almost guaranteed CV, wheel bearing, wheel balance, or suspension related.

Thank you! I’ll look at those things you mentioned.
Tires can make noise and vibration too. 😎
My Daughters' 2012 1.4lt had a weird "humming" noise at certain speeds and when she bought a new set of tires, it went away !
She has since sold the car,.... don't remember what brand of tires she purchased.
Hope you figure it out !
