...the bcm to get replaced threw the dealer ends up in the thousands because of the programming where it is all vin locked together.

The BCM is 166 bucks (plus shipping) at Rockauto .

I cannot imagine it being more than another couple hundred bucks to get it programmed into the car. Maybe Maven or someone else knowledgeable can chime in with the shop costs. But I wouldn't expect more than an hour of shop time.
