First new car in oh sooo many years. Drivin 70 miles a day to work n back so it was an economical choice. I just turned 1K miles. Pretty satisfied. Cant say its as performance based as my 03 SAAB 93 Vector...but sure to be more reliable, less gas/maintenance costs and all the gadgets are pretty cool. I'll be looking into the spark plug gap thing as it could have just a bit more bite. I'll lower it a bit and get a cooler wheelset but it looks good as is. It will eventually look like this......:th_coolio: Lets Cruze! Land vehicle Vehicle Car Chevrolet cruze Chevrolet

Welcome, and awesome choice for a new car!

Look into the spark plug gap as well as the intake resonator delete. Takes about 15 minutes to do, and you feel the change instantly.

Gas mileage is definitely great though. Do you travel more city or highway?

My drive takes me through approx 10 miles of a 2 lane canyon road...that part is awsome. The rest is Socal freeway...hehe not so awsome. The last 5 miles or so is the absolute worst stop n go.(60 freeway). It took my SAAB to 210K miles!!!

Welcome! Sounds like you'd enjoy a nice drive down Mulholland Drive down in the LA area. I used to take my Bonneville GXP there all the time on warm summer days. Here's the route I took:

CA-23/Westlake Blvd to Mulholland Hwy - Google Maps

I started in the SF Valley area and went westbound on that road, ending up in Malibu. Be careful when you hit checkpoint B on that map; it's a downhill grade and if you're going fast enough, you will toast your brakes. I lost a bit of braking power in the Bonneville (even with 13" GXP brakes) right at that point and had to downshift to slow myself down.

Not sure if you've found it yet, but here's the resonator bypass thread (thanks XR).
