I have a 2012 Chevy Cruze Touchscreen system that has currently went completely black. I have tried taking out the fuses and putting them back in with no such luck. I have taken off negative to the battery for about 20 min and that didn't work either. The dealership wants about $120 to just check it out to see whats wrong with it. Instead of paying the $120, i was just thinking of changing out the system for an aftermarket setup.

What I found was that a GMOS-045 is needed to hookup an aftermarket screen but thats all of the information that i have found. I would like to spend less than $500 but not sure if thats do-able? Anyone else run into something similar?

Thanks in advance.

I thought I had my settings to email me on this forum but i guess not... The GMOS-045 is the connection to plug into the existing wiring and then you could use that to plug into an aftermarket screen. I was hoping someone had used the GMOS-045 and an aftermarket screen and all of the settings still worked (steering wheel controls, bluetooth, XM, etc)
