Hey! New to the forum. Brought here like many others, for the wrong reasons. On the bright side, at least there is a place for communicating with others who may be able to help.
I have a 2013 Cruze LS Auto 1.8L Gas with 27k miles. Just purchased vehicle about a month ago for use as Daily Driver. Long time GM guy...
Problem started last week as temperatures are dropping in my part of the world.
On a cold start when air temp is below 25 deg F, I have been getting MIL illuminating/flashing for first 2-3 minutes of operation then extinguishing, along with Service Stabilitrac and Service Traction Control messages on the DIC. Took to local dealership on Tuesday 12/1/15. Pulled trouble code P0300. Slight misfire on cylinder #2. Tech checked plugs and coil (all OK). Swapped plugs on cyl 2 & 3, no misfire detected. Released, covered under warranty.
This morning 12/3/2015, same symptoms, took to dealer. Code P0300. No misfire or other problem detected at time of service. Directed to TSB # PI1206A. Directs dealer to NOT replace any parts, suggests "Top Tier Fuel".
Going to try alternate fuel source to see if problem improves, but am skeptical. Seems unusual that the engine misfires so bad as to trigger MIL, but is described as "Normal" under the TSB...
Any ideas? Engine programmed so lean that start at Cold Ambient Air temp causes misfire? Programming issue for Cold Climate area??
Thank you for any assistance!
