Folks,

I absolutely love my car, a 2013 MT ECO. I just got out of warranty passing 60,000. I keep up with all the specified service, but just wondering what usually fails, any extra service I can do to avoid surprises?

On other vehicles I've replaced radiator fluid, clutch fluid, and even hoses. Looking at the service schedule they don't worry about that till 150,000.

Any recommendations are welcome.
Thanks!
John

The interval for coolant is 5 YEARS or 150K, whichever comes FIRST. It is time for coolant by age alone.

Same for clutch/brake fluid (same reservoir).

You can expect, if they haven't failed already, PCV system issues (plenty of reading about that here on the forum) and water pump leaks. Both are a 99% failure rate on 1st gen 1.4's. The water pump has an extended 10 yr/150k warranty. The PCV valve cover/intake manifold check valve are covered under 5/100k powertrain warranty.
