2014 chevy cruze ltz when radio is on the battery dies

So I just bought my car from a friend. He said he pulled a fuse out of the radio because when he ran the radio the battery would die.
My question is would this be a simple buy a new fuse or is it something more?

This is my first car so I'm unsure what I need to do.

The battery get drained by radio when car is stationary I suppose?
The model of your radio?
If the battery dies when the car is off and only running the radio then you probably need a new battery.

He said it was draining the battery no matter if it was sitting or on the road.

This is am odd problem for sure. It isn't completely impossible this is happening, but know that it is extremely rare. You might have a wiring problem in the steering wheel. Or maybe if someone was messing around trying to add to the system and damaged it.

Or it could be just normal power draw, and you battery is weak like Valpo stated.

Well there was a system in there he removed to sell. Maybe he did damage the wiring.

That is the likely source of the drain.
