2015 Cruze LT Auto Owner Impressions Please

Currently have a 2005 Malibu LS V6. Looking to change it to secondary car status in about a year or so and probably purchase a 2015 or 2016 limited cruze as a primary car. Anyone owned both Malibu and Cruze? Biggest questions I have are fuel economy and reliability? Hoping for improved fuel economy vs the Malibu and great reliability. Struggle to get less than 32mpg on a trip. How is fuel economy in not so flat places such as PA and MD? Thinking I will use 89 octane and mobil 1 or Castrol 5w-30. Thanks

I had a 2010 Malibu v6 and now have the 2016 limited cruze. Fuel economy is better with the cruze. If I remember correctly, I got 28-30 hwy with the Malibu, and am getting about 35 hwy with the cruze. Live in western Washington with hills and mountain passes for road trips.

Never had a problem with my Malibu while I owned it. Performance wise, they're actually pretty close with a cold air intake in the cruze.

Welcome Aboard!:welcome:

I looked at both your posts and they seem to be almost the same question, just a bit more detail. You would be better off waiting for an answer or modifying your post than just creating more of the same. Have you tried using the search function? It is on the right side of your screen. It would be useful to know which trim level/engine you are interested in as well.

Have you read How to Get Better Fuel Economy
