I recent got a 2016 LS Cruze Manual. I am wanting to change the shift knob, and can not find out how to remove the factory one. I have tried twisting it counter-clockwise, pulling up while twisting.

Does anyone know how to take the factory shift knob off to replace it? Please and Thank you for any help.

Neither the Gen1 or gen2 knobs can be removed and reused without damaging their retainers. The Gen1 technically isn't serviceable at all, the gen2 you have to remove the boot to access the retainer latch on bottom of knob.
