Hello everyone. First post on this forum, ive been using the wonders of the internet for some time now to educate myself in vehicle dynamics lol.

My 2012 Cruz is at 94k miles (mostly highway) now and im giving her a little TLC. New plugs, throttle body cleaned, new filters, bypassed the resonator box, seafoamed the crankcase and fuel system.

1 question tho, the automatic transmissions in these cars. I was told "seales unit, you dont need to ever touch it." That was the ONLY turn off to buying this car. Ive had zero problems with her this whole time. Is there anything i can do with the transmission? Dealer for a flush?

Thanks for the input

Download the 2014 or 2015 owners manual and use the service schedule in there. For your specific question, replace the ATF fluid every 45K miles.

Search for ATF Fluid. We have a thread on how to replace the ATF fluid in the Cruze.

Found it. Thanks, any concerns with doing this for the first time at 94k? instead of the recommended 45k? I know in older transmission it was fearful.

Should be fine. You generally don't want to immediately change fluid on old transmissions that has been in there quite a number of years.
