Contact OnStar and the police and let them work together. I would imagine the info is there somewhere... Bummer to hear about your car. Did they mess it up at all or just cruise around the Cruze then return it???
Contact OnStar and the police and let them work together. I would imagine the info is there somewhere... Bummer to hear about your car. Did they mess it up at all or just cruise around the Cruze then return it???Does anybody know how to access information stored in the Bluetooth of a 2016 Cruze? I recently went out of town and came home to find that somebody had broken into my house/garage and taken my car for a joy ride. Oddly enough, they weren't very smart as they paired their Iphone to my car's Bluetooth. When I view paired devices it only shows the name that was assigned (by the owner) of the phone but doesn't show a phone number or any other info.
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
Did they at least fingerprint? When someone tried to seal my car they at least took fingerprints.I contacted both. OnStar said that unless they called while they were in the car they can't do anything. The police said that since they returned it and the damage was only minor, they weren't going to put the man hours in to try and find them. I had a truck parked in the driveway, so they had to go out of the garage at a hard angle. There is a few small scratches on the car, the wheel it gouged pretty good but the majority of the damage is to the trim around the garage. The also left some beer and food in the car.
Can't believe the cops wouldn't care about auto theft and damage, whether or not they returned the car in working condition is besides the point, someone STOLE it and DAMAGED it and should be held liable at all costs.
How'd they steal it? Isn't it hard to start a car nowadays without the key?
This, and they still did nothing? They also got in my house. The keys were in a drawer.
Yeah, I'm totally going to tell on myself so I can go to jail and ruin my pristine record and livelihood. Keys in a drawer vs. on a hook by the door in plain view of anyone who knocks and peeks in is screaming "I know you" a bit too much. They are saying that it is probably somebody that knows me and knows that I was going to be out of town...duh!!! They told me to ask around and see if anybody knows anything. I'm pretty sure nobody is going to confess!!!
