Anyone tried this yet? I did this on my Scion.

I bought a piezo buzzer and wired it into the remote door locks on the Scion, and I'd get a nice Lexus-style beep when I'd lock it with the remote. I tried to do this on my car today (because I seriously hate the horn honk) but all I could get was a constant tone. FWIW I tried tapping into the yellow-brown and white-brown wires in the blue plug in the BCM.

I guess in short my question is: does anyone know which wire is specifically for the remote lock? Or is this even possible?

Thanks. I'll keep looking around and searching through alarm install forums (I really don't want to install any aftermarket alarms as that tends to end up disastrous) for any wiring information.

Here's a link to a video of how it sounds when I did it to my Scion: 7535ff3a.mp4 video by therupp - Photobucket

None. I need an actual wiring diagram (not just the list of colors). Every wire I've tried to tap into so far just gives me a constant tone from the buzzer as soon as I reconnect the battery.

@ phantom

Thanks a lot. Hopefully that'll help. Tomorrow is only supposed to be about 80-something (that's cool in Arizona), so I'll probably tinker around tomorrow. I'll report any findings.
