Hey i am asking on this forum before i pry open my car again to see if anyone else had this problem. This cutting out used to be rare but now its a daily frequent thing. It is my front right speaker. I first noticed when the turn signal sound didnt work. I swapped the rca cables on the amp to see if it was the speaker but the cutting out moved with the rca. so if i switched the front rca to rear, the rear will cut out. also the turn signal sound will move with the rca cable. So it is not the speaker. I dont think it is the amp either bc it moves with the cable. The guy soldered the connections into back of radio..making the wires to 4x rca. then he split the rear two rca into 4 using a rca y splitter (making 6 total rca connections) so the extra two will sent to my other amp to my sub. This problem didnt happen until maybe a year later and ive had this for two years. maybe wires are exposed/touching behind the radio? if so maybe thats whats causing my rear speakers to have the constant high pitch whine (it is a steady sound that doesnt get louder or lower, whether volume turned up or gas pedal pushed but the noise isnt perfectly constant tone...like it will go "beeeeeep beep beep beeeeeeeeep" but intensity doesnt change). I know i have to open this up tomorrow to fully figure out but i figured id ask for some insight maybe i may overlook something if i dont ask. Thanks!

EDIT: forgot to mention if i turn volume past 15 or so itll kick in...sometimes i have to turn it up fast then itll kick back in.

A little hard to follow but it sounds like the rcas or connections going to the rca if I am reading you correctly. Make sure that he summed front and rear not left and right as that will short almost everything.

but the sound goes to all the speakers correctly. he did mess up the left and right colors tho. if red is right and white is left, he has red left and white right. not a huge deal but it made my turn signal come out my front right..just swapped the rca. but this happened before i swapped anyways.

so what your saying is make sure the the wires are matched to the speaker? im thinking maybe the one rca may be loose or touching metal or a bad solder joint. will definitely check polarity too. thanks for your reply and if you have any other suggestions let me know i dont want to open this again its going to get real cold. doing this first thing in the morning after i get my inspection done.

So the other day I took the time to take apart my dash and look at the wiring. Wow his wiring job is ridiculously neat...which is annoying because I would have to tear the car apart just to get it out lol. I noticed the line out convertor was squeezed under the radio...and the rca metal was exposed so I put some electrical tape over them. I also noticed a metal clip lying loose very near there so that could've been touched it and shorting it out. I also triple checked the polarity and stuffed the wire a little further away from the radio. Short story...fixed the problem. No more cutting out. Something must've got loose or there was metal to metal contact. Regardless...now I just need to mess with the ground wire to see if I can eliminate that annoying feedback when radio is off! thanks for all your help
