I have an android. I was not able to play music via the USB in my cruze. I could play it over the AUX and (now that i installed it) bluetooth. However my iPod and Flash Drive both play music via the USB no problem. Not sure what the problem is (sorry), but i experienced this too.

Hello Chaser,

I am sorry to hear you are having this concern with your Galaxy. Are you connecting via an auxiliary cord? Please contact our infotainment team at 855-478-7767. If you still have additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me via private message.

I called that number and the guy said these phones are not compatible with the Cruzes. I tried my friends phone and its not an iphone but works fine playing music. You can even choose by artist song or so forth on the actual Cruze radio.

Chaser X, I'm assuming you have a 2011 or 2012 Cruze. Apple plays music via the phone interface which is why it works. Android uses the A2DP specification, which the 2011 and 2012 don't officially support. If you have the base stereo connectivity package (steering wheel controls and USB/3.5mm jacks) you can replace the PDIM with the Bluetooth enabled PDIM.
