Another leak, this time the upper hose leaking at water outlet

This car is something else, since 30,000 miles we have had the Tourqe converter seal repalced, oil pan gasket, valve cover with the wonderful Pvc valve, the water pump leaks around the bolts and gasket when it gets real cold outside, and now at 96,000 miles the upper coolant hose sprung a leak right at the water outlet, I replaced hose and still a slight leak but not bad at all. But too the OEM HOSE CLAMP off and put a worm clamp at the radiator inlet because I got tired of trying to get the spring clamp back on. So now I will probably get another gates hose 23800 I believe and replace it with two brand new OEM Clamps if I can figure how to get it on at the radiator inlet. Anybody replace their upper hose could let me know how you got in there without taking something else apart to get that bottom spring clamp on. Ohh and we are out of the great powertrain warranty now, so guess will be working on this POS of a car every month or whenever something takes a crap on it, which so far makes me want park it in the bad side of town and leave the key in it running maybe I can go get me a toyota then. Sorry just venting, I just love spending my weekend working on this great car.

Yeah aren't these cars wonderful?

I'm about to drop a big fat check at the Honda dealership! I was half considering a buying a C8 Corvette but I have been burned by this Cruze so I won't be buying any Cheverolet for as long as I live as a matter of principle!

I just replaced my hoses and "fortunately" had the bumper cover off due to a minor fender bender, otherwise I don't know how you would get that spring clamp on/off

The OP has not been online here since Jan of 2018. Sorry you don't appreciate the Cruze. It has it's issues, but as you see there is a vibrant community here trying to keep it together for as little money as possible. I hope you find a Honda forum to keep you company if you choose to change vehicles. If not, we are still here to help get your Cruze running as best as it could.
Oops.. I didn't realise it was an old (ancient) message.

Apart from things breaking for a past time, I still like the car, quiet, comfortable, reasonable performance but honestly It one thing after another. I've never worked so much on one car in 40 years of driving!

If I do change vehicles I might even keep the Cruze for local errands.. Have to have something to do in retirement right?..:)
