I know a few of you had done belts. Anyone diy it or had the dealer do it

The timing belt? I've been mulling over doing it myself or having the dealer do it. I got about 50k miles to think about it though, haha.

I have a vague recollection of someone posting pics from the shop manual here in the forum.

Someone did. It doesn't look horribly difficult, but being a FWD vehicle, any kind of front cover access can be a huge pain in the ass.

I love working on cars, and I'm always one to do my own work - but it really comes down to how busy I am with my [currently] 3 other cars, my house, work and ultimately how much I value my time.

yea but one thing you didnt factor in that if i do it its done RIGHT and no SHORT CUTS thats 75% of the reason gm wont touch my car

Yep. If I do it, I know it's done correctly.
