Hey Guys,

We have most definitely addressed the 'touchy throttle' issues that initially were a problem upon launching the new more powerful update. Everyone that we issued a revision to was happy with the updates. Those who's calibrations required more finessing let us know this, and we were happy to oblige.

We have noticed that the reality is, that most people (every 14 out of 15 customers) are happy with the calibration as it stands.

I have stated this in other threads and via PM's: if you are not happy please let us know and we will do everything possible to work it out :)

I would buy a different tune. Trifecta really messed up the tune imo. The mpg really dropped after I updated and the throttle response is terrible. Barely pressing the gas pedal causes the car to think you want 60% throttle. I ended up switching back to the old select-a-tune.
I noticed that you never got back to us after we issued you the second revision. I see you downloaded the file though. We were expecting more feedback from you to see if we needed to revise it again.

Thanks,
Michael

That's because the tune is still not right. The last two tunes I was sent make almost no power. Just to drive at 65 mph on the highway I have to drive at half throttle and in 5th gear. I ended up going back to stock just to save on gas. My mpg went back into the mid 40s just by switching tunes. I unfortunately don't have my original select-a-tune file anymore so now I'm stuck and not happy.

I just really think this new PAL tune system is far too aggressive to get good gas mileage out of it. The performance is fantastic but I'm not willing to give up 5-7 mpg to have a little more power. I think Trifecta needs to have a separate tune for people who like select-a-tune. I just want a tune that has a linear throttle response and that I can switch on and off like before. The throttle response on the new system is way too sensitive.
Well, we are definitely willing to work with you. We want all our customers to be happy :)

I escalated your case to an engineer who is writing you an update as we speak. You should be receiving an email any minute with a revision more in line with what you wanted.

Thanks,
Michael

Hello Everyone,

We just want to let you guys know that your concerns are definitely being heard! As many of you already know via open support requests through WOT-Tuning, we are most definitely researching this new round of complaints.

First, it was the 'touchy throttle' issue. We resolved that for you all pretty much as fast as we could and most are happy. Now we have this new round of complaints about the aggressive shifting. Believe what I say: that we are working on this and the other related reported behaviors that the community does not like. We have gathered data and are testing revisions before releasing to you.

It's funny, because we have many requests from owners from both the Sonic and Cruze platforms that request that the power be always on tap and be as aggressive as possible. Then we have those that want the performance but then also worry about fuel consumption. It's a slippery slope that we are trying to navigate here.

We appreciate your patience while we work with you to get your concerns addressed. I will be sharing this same post in other threads in which these same concerns have been voiced.

Are the issues fixed?

I haven't seen them confirm there is an issue. I'm thinking pride trumps customer service. They are still pretending it is isolated to "a small amount of cars" and has fubar'd us Sonic folks too. But at least they are commenting on it here. They are ignoring us over there in Sonic land.

Hope they fix it for you guys.
Thanks for the input but you are incorrect. Service takes priority and I would like to think that we have proven this to the community during the last few months. I have been active on the sonic forums but have not seen too much activity but I will go make another round. Unfortunately, the holidays delay things.

As is the case with almost everyone during this time of year, we are trying to enjoy our time with our families as well so we appreciate everyone's patience :)

To add to above, I don't mean compressor surging like when you don't have a bov/bpv installed. Surging as in rapid fluctuations of boost from 20-25 psi under load.
CHARTED IN RPM (Not accurate boost amounts the important part is with how the turbo acts) (Under 75% APP w/auto trans)
2k - 3psi
2.5k - 7psi
3k - 16psi
3.5k - 19psi
4k - 24 psi
4.5k - 20 psi
5k -24 psi
5.5k -20 psi
6k - 24 psi

In higher gears this "fluctuation" happens at a frequency of about .7 seconds ballpark
Hello, thanks for reporting this. This would be the first time we hear about something like this. We can't really help you without hard data.

We need a log of what you are reporting and we need you to report this through official channels directly through WOT-Tuning. Please open a support request via [email protected] so that we can communicate with you directly about this.

Thanks,
Michael

Thanks, Michael!

On light throttle, I would like shifting to occur at 2000rpm, and if I hit the gas hard, if required by a traffic situation, I would like fast power. I believe the power is good! It's only on the light throttle - which is most of the time for me - I'd like an earlier shift (2000rpm)

Thanks for listening to us!!! :)
LizzieCruze, thanks for the feedback. I have replied to your open support request at WOT to discuss further.

Thanks,
Michael
