Ok, after a long period of contemplation, I have decided to go ahead and make a thread documenting my 2013 Cruze LT 1.4L. I will name it a build thread, but don't really consider it that. This is just something that I work on and improve as time and funds allow. I like to tinker and find different ways to do things as well as maximize performance. I do all the work in my enclosed garage and have a decent amount of tools. Most if not all of the modifications will be bolt on.

And the story begins:

When she was pretty new, she was full of swirl marks and scratches. This is after a professional paint correction that I did myself with the pictured Meguiars and harbor freight DA. Tons of work and it took days. I went panel by panel.

Next, got some new shoes (Continental Control Contact) These things are great, so much softer than the old Michelins
292236

Shortly after, it was time to start fixing leaks. This was the first one, I fabbed up a piece of rubber tubing and put a heat shield on it. It has lasted almost 2 years now with no leaks.

292238

Had a transmission fluid leak that was likely from an overfill, did a drain and fill X3 with AC Delco fluid.

Next was a rich condition, which I finally narrowed down to the cooler NGK plugs I installed, Don't go with the 8's... unless you like unburnt fuel
292241

Next up is oil leak time, the oil cooler and pan were leaking. The dealer fixed the pan and for some reason painted it all with silver spray paint... I did the oil cooler a month or two on my own after. More to come in next post

Nice, BNR actually sells them now, I am just not looking to spend $400 for four injectors ATM.
Power costs money. What more can I say.

Battery is at 10V this morning, barely turns on the lights; ordered a walmart H6 AGM as a replacement with delivery (poor delivery person lol). Current battery lasted just over 3 years, right out of warranty of course.
Wow, that's even worse than the 1st gen CTD batteries.

Only 3 years?

I've never had a battery last less than 5. And it gets cold here OCT. Through MAR.

Probably part of the issue, not enough use with lockdowns and working from home.

I used to tell people who didn't drive much to take a drive on the highway that surrounds the city every 2nd Sunday. That's roughly 35 miles. I figured that was enough to recharge the battery and boil the moisture out of the oil.

Spent this evening wiring up the flex fuel kit from @Dave's World /Super Cruzes and flashed the updated tune. The kit I got is the integrated one, it uses the MAF plug I assume for power and only has one pin that goes into the ECM. Around an hour install with 30 minutes cleaning the wires up. I am still on 93, it ran good, but fell on its face at WOT and under high boost. Either spark blowout or valve float, but it occurred at only 4500RPM, so not completely sure. Will gap plugs down from stock tomorrow and test further.

Hey how are you? I didn’t see a notification till today. What injectors are you running? What is your plug gap and your boost PSI?

You're all good it's not a you issue ;) I was running the GM cadillac ones BNR tunes for, but have since switched to Bosch 52's. Just waiting on a tune update now. Gapped plugs down to .025, boost is a little hot reaching all the way up to 25PSI or so, I did ask for them to turn that down a bit in the tune.
That’s an exciting build. If you ever need help just message me!!!!!

Tune seems good with the 52lb injectors. My ZZP wastegate actuator is overboosting even at no preload, so I guess I need something else. The stock one will barely hold 18PSI lol I didn't like the Forge wastegate actuator because I felt like it stuck on and off and the boost went up and down, but may have to go back to that. I may give the mambatek a try. or if I can find springs replacements swap them in the ZZP one. I know the zzp is just rebranded china wastegate anyway...

Message me via email and I can elaborate more about the wastegate. And help you get fixed up on your boost issues.
