Researching these.
Anyone have any experience with these OBD code readers that use bluetooth or Wifi communication to smartphones? Specifically the blue driver brand. Are there any out there yet with Bi directional communication for us DIY's?

What you get depends in part on what phone you have. Apparently, iPhone has a troublesome Bluetooth stack. You have to go WiFi for those.

You might want to look at this page from Torque Lite/Pro: https://torque-bhp.com/wiki/Bluetooth_Adapters

The prices listed are outdated.
at the end of the day you get what you pay for. dont expect to pay 30 bucks and be able to do full diagnosis and tuning like a proper workshop, there's a reason they spend thousands and the products they use.

I use a cheapy ebay one with the torque app, and pretty happy with it as a readout display. Haven't tried using it for any diagnostics yet as haven't had any troubles, thanksfully =) Apparently it can read and clear error codes and some other things as well as data logging which is helpful

Ordered the blue driver. Should have it in tomorrow. I'll post a review on it sometime.

I just ordered this one, but it hasn't turned up yet. Will let you know how it is once it arrives.
