Glad to join cruzetalk page. Due to my job changes, I used to fly all over USA on business trips, about 80%. One company heard my name often and offered me a job where I can stay home and drive around state of AZ instead of flying all over USA so I did not want to drive my 2007 Chevy Avalanche with 110K on it and still love it. Company pays me monthly car allowance so why not I started looking for a car. First thing in my mind is a diesel. Of course, I do not want to drive BMW or MB. Was looking into Diesel Chevy and VW. VW is out of the picture due to emission scandal. So Diesel Cruze is my pick. Checked online to check dealerships/private. Found one - 50 miles away from my home - Thorobred Chevrolet in a used car lot. It has 24k on it. They are very honest. Told me that car was GM Manufacturer Buyback. It was in California. Of course CA has very strict lemon law. Only problem was the O2 Oxygen Senor so they replaced it and had no issue for next 200 miles and ready for sale. They gave me carfax report. I looked at it and it showed manufacturer buyback on it and said it will also show on the title. I am aware of this cuz I am going to keep it for a long time. Made the deal of $15,600 and told them to change the fuel filter, fill up the DEF, change oil, and detail cleaning. Got the car two days later and drove over 7K miles without a problem. Been driving big cars/trucks. Cruze is a small car but fall in love with it. It has bells and whistles except spare tire! Very pleased with 2.0 Diesel engine. Surprised to see new 1.6 diesel engine being put in 2017 Cruze. I guess it's EPA. ---- Happy driving.

Congrats from a fellow new owner...I didn't pick up a diesel, but did end up with the 1.4 L and am really loving the car. I've always been a Chevy guy so the little Cruze fits the bill for my daily driver needs.

Best of luck with it! Sounds like you took a chance on it being a lemon and got lucky! have you had any check engine lights?
